Please can you help?
Thank you to the Willow Garden Project and The Memorial Park who have agreed to support us in running workshops to make poppies out of plastic bottles. We are inviting schools and community groups to get involved so that we can decorate Fleetwood with a sea of poppies to mark the centenary of World War One. The poppies will provide a beautiful display for visitors attending our summer festivals including Fleetwood in Bloom which will be judged in July. You can help by donating your plastic bottles – the clear, 2 litre ones with the dimpled bottoms, these can be dropped off at: The Willow Garden Project (after the 5th March), the Memorial Park Pavilion or the Town Council Office at 122 Poulton Road.
We aim to make 10,000 poppies so we really do need bottle donations!
Get involved and attend a poppy making workshop at The Memorial Park, Fleetwood on Saturday 31st March and Wednesday 4th April at 12 noon – 3pm. (call in anytime)
